According to the Higher School of Economics’ report on social well-being of Russians, almost a quarter of Russia’s population (23%) rate their financial situation as bad, or very bad.
At the same time, there was no significant changes in the level of poverty: the number of people, who don’t have enough money to buy necessary clothes, or food products, remained at 41% in June.
The number of those, who notes the continuing worsening of their financial position, also did not change, and stayed at 42% of Russians.
Economists remind, that in a year and a half of crisis (since November 2014), real disposable cash incomes fell by almost 20%. Retail sales of goods and services decreased by the same amount.
The deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank Andrei Klepach said that it will take at least till 2020 to get back to the old standard of living and consumption.
The Economic Development Ministry forecast salaries to drop by 1.5% in 2016, and real income – by 2.8%.
