FSB accused Ukraine of preparing terrorist attacks in Crimea

FSB told about preventing a terrorist attack in the Crimea, which, according to the intelligence agencies, was allegedly organized by the Ukrainian intelligence.

It was reported by the press service of the Federal Security Service.

An FSB officer died during the detention of alleged terrorists. Evgeny Panov, born in 1977, was called the organizer of the attacks. He was detained, and currently is giving testimony. The FSB called him “an Ukrainian secret service officer.”

The detention took place at the night of August 7 near the city of Armyansk in the Crimea. 20 homemade bombs of a total capacity of more than 40 kilograms of TNT were found at the scene, as well as magnetic anti-personnel mines, grenades, and other weapons, which, according to the FSB, is in service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The FSB claims that the attacks were planned at critically important infrastructure facilities of the Crimea in order to destabilize the social and political situation before the elections.
