USA confirmed that target of their air strike was ISIS leader


The forces of the U.S.-led international coalition initiated an air strike on Syrian town of Al-Bab in order to destroy one of the leaders of the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS).

According to U.S. media, the strike on Al-Bab was targeted at the second man in the hierarchy of the ISIS Abu Muhammad al-Adnani. According to the American command, it still evaluates the results of the operation. At the same time, according to the previously available information, al-Adnani was successfully destroyed.

The city of Al-Bab, where the leader of the ISIS was destroyed, is located in the province of Aleppo. Al-Adnani was “the right hand” of the ISIS leader, and held the position of “the official representative” of this terrorist organization.
