Resident of Tver sued for “financing terrorism” after transferring $35 to his friend in Turkey

Investigators accuse Nurlan Gadjiev of “financing terrorism” for transferring 2000 rubles (approx. $35 – RRT) to his friend in Turkey.

According to Radio Svoboda (“Radio Liberty” – RRT), in 2014 Gadjiev transferred money to Istanbul for treatment of his friend, who said that he had cancer. According to the accused, he did not contact his friend after he found out that he joined a illegal armed group in Syria.

After a while, FSB spotted Gadjiev. He is facing imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.
