Russian Ambassador in Israel was hospitalized in Tel Aviv


According to local internet portal, Russia’s ambassador to Israel, Alexander Shein was rushed to the hospital in Tel Aviv after falling ill.

According to the website, the diplomat felt unwell during dinner in a restaurant.
Minister-Counsellor of Russia Alexei Drobinin confirmed the hospitalization and said that now the ambassador is well.

At the time of the publication, Embassy representatives were not available for comments.

Alexander Shein has been serving as Russia’s ambassador to Israel since July 2015. Prior to that, he represented the interests of the country in Tunisia, Jordan and Iraq, and also worked in the Foreign Ministry in Moscow.
