Maker of Kalashnikov finished its bankruptcy procedure


As reported by Interfax, the liquidation of Kalashnikov Concern, that filed for bankruptcy 5 years ago, finished in Udmurtia (Russia).

Kalashnikov Concern was the largest arms manufacturer in Russia that produces a wide range civilian and military weapons including assault and sniper rifles, guided artillery projectiles and a wide range of other precision weapons. In September 2011 its bankruptcy proceedings started.

Even being in the process of bankruptcy, the company came under sanctions of foreign countries twice: the United States in the summer of 2015, and Ukraine this fall.
