Turkey banned entry for over 4,000 Russians for ties with ISIS


Turkey banned 4,128 citizens of the Russian Federation from entry into the country due to suspicion of their involvement in the activities of the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS).

According to RIA Novosti, it was stated in the report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey.

It was noted that a total of 53,781 people from 146 countries are currently included in the blacklist of persons suspected of links with terrorists. Most of the people on this list are citizens of Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Russia.

The report also says that staring from 2011, 4,957 foreigners, including 804 Russians, were deported from Turkey for the same reason: ties with international terrorist organisations, such as ISIS.
