Three Russian satellites got lost after being put to orbit

Three Russian satellites that were launched into orbit on July 14th from the Baikonur cosmodrome with the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket, have not yet established a connection with the Earth. The causes of the technical malfunction remain unknown.


Top manager of Roscosmos killed in jail

The executive director of Roscosmos Vladimir Evdokimov died of stab wounds in a Moscow jail. A month ago he was transferred from a special block with video surveillance to an ordinary block.


Russia wants to compete with SpaceX rockets

Roscosmos is working on a lightweight version of the Proton rocket. It is planned that it will compete with rockets of the American company SpaceX. The first launch of Proton Light might happen in 2018.
